Football Moms on the Sideline hosted a Spring Break Football/Cheerleader Camp for our area youths. Our camp this year
was a success due to overwhelming support we received from Cubie Rae, C.C. Calhoun, and the Boys and Girls Club of South
Central Alabama; local sponsors such as Calhoun Enterprises, Guthrie's, Brewbaker Motors, Top Dog Cheerleaders,
Montgomery Maulers, and Judge Reese Mckinney, just to name a few; and nationally known figures and sports icons, such as
Terrell Owens (Dallas Cowboys), Fred Beasley (49ers), Jeno James ( Miami Dolphins), Tyrone Rogers (Cleveland Browns),
and Reggie Barlow. We officially started this organization earlier this year to help sponsor the teams within the Central
Alabama Youth Football League (CAYFL) which are all non-profit organizations whose sole purpose is “providing our area
youth with a competitive arena in which they can enjoy the sport of football and cheer leading. Additionally, the purpose of
CAYFL is to teach football and cheering fundamentals and to promote good sportsmanship among youth.” As it is never too
soon to get started, we would like to take advantage of this instance to also announce the 2007 Spring Break Youth Camp
commencing March 22-24, 2007.
It is our pleasure to announce that the 2007 Spring Break camp will again be held at the Crampton Bowl. In the meantime, we
have started to solicit corporate sponsors with the hope of confirming them as soon as possible, so that we can start work
on our poster, flier, and shirt designs. For those of you who are new to hearing of us, we hosted a three day camp during
spring break for the youth that play or have the desire to play football or to
cheer. Once again this year we will be donating portions of the proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club of South Central and the
CAYFL league teams. We are also looking at other possible beneficiaries for this upcoming year.
